Quienes los habitaban\u00a0se negaron a pasar su vida en un convento o a construirla junto a un hombre. En su lugar abrazaron la libertad, el amor a Dios y al pr\u00f3jimo, la m\u00edstica y el conocimiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La artista <strong>Aroa Chao nos llev\u00f3 hasta la Edad Media para hablarnos de los beguinarios y de sus habitantes: las beguinas.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La espa\u00f1ola es la creadora del proyecto <em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/web.houseofcompassion.be\/en\/begin-the-beguine-3\/\">Begin the beguine<\/a><\/strong><\/em>. Su trabajo se ver\u00e1 expuesto, en el marco de <strong>Europalia<\/strong>, en la <strong>Iglesia de San Juan Bautista de Bruselas entre el 1 y el 26 de octubre<\/strong>. En \u00e9l, mostrar\u00e1 una exploraci\u00f3n exhaustiva sobre la historia de las beguinas en <strong>House of Compassion<\/strong>, antiguo beguinaje de Bruselas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En esta muestra se ver\u00e1n reflejados <strong>cuatro a\u00f1os de estudio<\/strong> y peregrinaje por trece beguinajes flamencos clasificados como <strong>Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco<\/strong> y otros ajenos a dicha lista patrimonial.
