Festa portuguesa 12 de junho 2022 Entrevista Vanessa Barros

A Vanessa apresenta-se:
My passion, expertise and drive are about Diversity & Inclusion with a non divisive approach. I have throughout my career and research encouraged and managed diversity and learned the power of inclusion to drive performance.

I just published a book “Don’t Mess with my Professionalism!” with Penguin Random House, in English and French. With foreword from Peace Nobel Prize O. Bouchamaoui, this book is Inspired by 200 senior international executives whom I have interviewed and goes beyond individual views of ‘professionalism’ to provide a breakthrough framework. My fit for use model to resolve intercultural conflicts will help any leader to build an inclusive culture.

I am a senior international executives’ advisor, provide executive training and do research specialising in cross-cultural and inclusive leadership as well as intercultural conflict management. I am mostly based in Europe. I also collaborate with the Center for Leadership and Cultural Intelligence at Nanyang Business School (Nanyang Technological University) in Singapore.

I completed my PhD at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore doing research on intercultural conflict resolution, cultural intelligence and inclusion. I also hold a Master of Science in Management from ESSEC Business School in France.

Prior to joining the doing the PhD, I worked in advertising for over 20 years handling local, regional and global accounts for Saatchi & Saatchi, McCann-Erickson, Havas, BETC and Ogilvy working for prestigious clients including Reckitt Benckiser, Nina Ricci, Procter & Gamble, Lolita Lempicka, Danone, Kraft Foods Peugeot and Unilever.

I am French-Portuguese. I have worked on four continents (North America, South America, Europe, Central Asia and currently Asia), I speak 4 languages fluently (English, French, Spanish and Portuguese) and have gained solid experience and expertise in multi-cultural team leadership, inclusive culture, international operations and business development.
